Abstract/Résumé/Resumen
This article, which is now being developed, aims at examining the Informational Systems of the archivistic institutions and public and/or private organizations which include an archive. The research will be based on the basic model of Information Systems which consists of five essential elements: people, hardware, software, data and networks. It purports to put more emphasis in the element “data” for systems of information and then give instructions on how to implement a data bank. The proposal is to investigate the application of these resources by the Unimed institutions and by the office of the Attorney at Law Coriolano Dias de Sá, both of them in the city of João Pessoa – PB. The two institutions will initially be part of the study, since they organized their archives through electronic documents. This way, through the field research, we will investigate the influence of data banks and especially of the Information Systems in the recovering of information in the above-indicated institutions. It is well known that a system is a group of well interrelated components working towards a common goal, which in our case is information. These Information Systems receive input (entries) and produce results in an organized process of transformation which is produced by the concurrence of three functions: the input (it involves the identification and collection of elements which enter the system to be processed), the processing (involves processes of transformation which convert entry data in products) and finally, the end result (involves the conveyance of elements produced by a process of transformation up to its final destiny). This process has a fundamental importance for the management of electronic documents and rises as the principal theme in today’s archivistic research. Therefore, our survey is very necessary and will be the basis of future studies in the State of Paraíba archives.
