This article aims to analyse the several categories of information set up by cataloguing procedures to describe the photography. By connecting this analysis to the context of the personal archives, it is addressed that this kind of document suggests multiple interpretations. Such multiplicity is directly associated to the information held by the photography as an object and as an image in itself in combination with the archive the photography belongs to.
