The article analyses the recent initiatives of the Assemblies of God in preserving part of its historic-cultural patrimony, particularly creating the Center of Studies of the Pentecostal Movement (CEMP), together with the Gunnar Vingren Memorial, both in the head office of the Assemblies of God Publishing House (CPAD), and in the Assemblies of God National Museum in Belém, Pará, city where the religious institution initiated in 1911. Between the various theoretical groundings that help to understand such phenomenon, the concepts of “regime of historicity” and “presentism”, from the French historian François Hartog, are highlighted, for it is understood, from the researches realized in the institutional documents, that the patrimonial actions of the Assemblies of God are due, among other aspects, from a way of dealing with time. If before past, present and future were conjugated in eschatological hermeneutical key, currently, a cooling in such comprehension is perceived, institutionally adjusting to a “presentist regime of historicity”, where the relations with the past and future from the present are straightened. The desire to control the historical narratives, in the processes of patrimonialization of the institutional memory, point to a diminishing in the eschatological expectative, or better, the eschatology is “presentified”
