O artigo discute educação patrimonial e difusão de arquivos como referenciais para analisar a estruturação do Arquivo de História da Ciência do Instituto Nacional da Mata Atlântica (AHC-INMA). Apresenta o percurso de organização do acervo, ações educativas já realizadas e desafios para consolidar seu núcleo educacional. Por fim, reflete sobre suas possíveis contribuições para a construção de memórias locais, vínculos identitários e valorização da Mata Atlântica como patrimônio natural brasileiro.
Archives and heritage education: dissemination actions and the construction of identity bonds with the Atlantic Forest

The article discusses heritage education and archive dissemination as frameworks to analyze the structuring of the Science History Archive of the National Institute of the Atlantic Forest (AHC-INMA). It presents the process of organizing the collection, the educational actions already undertaken, and the challenges in consolidating its educational nucleus. Finally, it reflects on how the archive can contribute to local memories, identity bonds, and the valorization of the Atlantic Forest as Brazilian natural heritage.
