O Arquivo Histórico Ultramarino de Lisboa (AHU) conserva os fundos documentais produzidos pelas instituições que ao longo dos séculos centralizaram e regularam a administração ultramarina. Relativamente à administração colonial portuguesa no Brasil, existe um acervo documental manuscrito, que faz parte principalmente dos fundos do Conselho Ultramarino e da Secretaria de Estado da Marinha e Ultramar, onde subsistem fontes de informações importantes para a história da escola e construção da memória educativa brasileira. Desde que o Projeto Resgate “Barão do Rio Branco”, do Ministério da Cultura do Brasil, foi implantado nessa instituição, que esse patrimônio tem sido disponibilizado aos pesquisadores no Brasil. Procuraremos refletir sobre as potencialidades da sua utilização para a investigação em educação.
The Overseas Historical Archive of Lisbon (AHU) conserves the funds ones registers produced by the institutions, that to the
long of the centuries, had centered and regulated the administration overseas. Relatively to the Portuguese colonial administration in Brazil, there is a quantity manuscript documentary, that is part mainly of funds of the Overseas Advice and the State secretary of the Navy and Overseas, where linger sources of important information for the history of the school and construction of the Brazilian educative memory. Since that the Project Rescue: Baron of the Rio Branco, of the Ministry of the Culture of Brazil, was implanted in this institution, that this patrimony has been available to the researchers in Brazil. We will look for to reflect on the potentialities of its use for the inquiry in education.
