A partir da análise do fundo documental “Secretaria do Interior”, do Arquivo Público Mineiro (APM), o presente artigo tem por objetivo apresentar a documentação relativa à saúde pública, com ênfase nas práticas de cura. A metodologia utilizada consiste na apresentação e discussão dessa documentação, com o propósito mostrara contribuição desse acervo para aspectos da história da saúde pública em Minas Gerais, entre fins do século XIX e início do século XX. Espera-se que a análise dessa documentação possa fornecer subsídios para a compreensão da delimitação dos ofícios de cura e como funcionava a fiscalização por parte das autoridades sanitárias
The inspection of the healing sciences in Minas Gerais (1891-1926): sources and subsides to the history of health in the Arquivo Público Mineiro

Starting from the analysis of some documental sources of “Secretaria do Interior”, from the Arquivo Público Mineiro (APM), this article aims to present the public health related documentation available in the Arquivo Público Mineiro, especially those related to healing practices. The applied methodology is to present and discuss the documentation to show how the sources collection can contribute to understand some aspects of Public Health in the State of Minas Gerais, between the end of 19th Century and the beginnings of 20th Century. This work tries to present the analysis of the documents to provide some subsides to a better understanding of the healing crafts and the working of the official inspection by the Public Health authorities.
