Technological innovations that emerged in the mid-twentieth century, changed the form of record keeping. The records that were made in analog form, began to be made in digital media. The research examined how Brazilian Public Administration agencies are preparing to demand access to digital documents. Theme proved relevant forward the approval of Law Nº. 12,527 of November 18, 2011, Law on Access to Information (LAI), which regulates access to public information, provided in the Constitution of the Federative Republic of Brazil (1988). With the right access regulations, the State has the obligation to ensure access to information produced by him and / or under their custody. To answer this question we conducted a study of the application of the current legal framework on digital records by public agencies of the executive branch, and the conditions of fulfillment of these standards.
