A evolução das tecnologias da informação atinge diversas áreas do conhecimento. Neste contexto, ocorreu o advento do documento digital, responsável por transformações de ordem teórica e prática na Arquivística. Dentre estas transformações surge a necessidade de reformular conceitos como os de documento arquivístico e até mesmo a presunção de autenticidade. Como consequência, o documento digital foi incorporado ao arquivo em virtude de sua relação orgânica com os demais documentos. Neste sentido, são analisadas as transformações na ótica das sete funções arquivísticas, enfatizando as peculiaridades referentes aos documentos digitais. Por fim, ressalta-se que há necessidade de criar estruturas de metadados desde a produção, as quais irão auxiliar na classificação, avaliação, preservação digital, presunção de autenticidade, otimizando a busca e a difusão dos documentos arquivísticos.
The digital document in the context of archival functions

The evolution of information technologiesaffects many areas of knowledge. In this context, there was the advent of digital document, responsible for theoretical and practical transformations in the Archival Science. Among these changes comes the need to reformulate concepts such as archival document and even the presumption of authenticity. As a result, the digital document was incorporated into the archives because of its organic relationship with the other documents. In this sense, the changes are analyzed from the viewpoint of the seven archival functions, emphasizing the peculiarities relating to digital documents. Finally, it is emphasized that there is a need of creating metadata structures since the production, which will help in the classification, evaluation, digital preservation, authenticity presumption, optimizing the search and dissemination of archival documents.
