A análise quantitativa permite situar, quantificar e organizar elementos, envolve diversos parâmetros conforme o objeto de estudo, sendo a análise bibliométrica uma das mais conhecidas. A bibliometria é uma metodologia de técnica quantitativa e estatística. Diante disso, esta pesquisa tem como objetivo principal demonstrar por meio de redes de citação a relação existente entre a arquivologia e a memória e suas inter-relações. Para isso, utilizou-se artigos depositados na Base de Dados Referencial de Artigos de Periódicos em Ciência da Informação, que abrangem o período de 1990 a 2020. A metodologia é de caráter exploratória e descritiva e de abordagem qualiquantitativa, utilizando-se do método a bibliométrica para realizar a análise dos dados. Os dados coletados para esta análise foram as citações dos 23 artigos selecionados. Neste trabalho, foi utilizado o software Vosviewer. A diferença entre a tradicional bibliografia e a bibliometria é que esta utiliza mais métodos quantitativos do que aquela, que faz uso de métodos discursivos. A bibliometria é utilizada também para analisar o desenvolvimento científico de determinada área do conhecimento, como nesta pesquisa. Como resultados da pesquisa conclui-se que apesar da forte relação que existe entre arquivo e memória, as pesquisas ainda são restritas e estão mais interligadas à história e ao patrimônio do que à ciência dos arquivos.
Quantitative analysis allows for locating, quantifying, and organizing elements involving several parameters according to the object of study, with bibliometric analysis being one of the best-known. Bibliometrics is a methodology of quantitative and statistical techniques. Therefore, this research aims to demonstrate, through citation networks, the relationship between archival science and memory and their interrelationships. For this, articles deposited in the Reference Database of Journal Articles in Information Science were used, covering the period from 1990 to 2020. The methodology is exploratory and descriptive, with a qualitative and quantitative approach, using the method to bibliometric to perform data analysis. The data collected for this analysis were the citations of the 23 selected articles. In this work,the VOS viewer software was used. The difference between traditional bibliography and bibliometrics is that the latter uses more quantitative methods than the former,which uses discursive methods. Bibliometrics is also used to analyze the scientific development of a particular area of knowledge, as in this research. As a result of the research, it is concluded that despite the strong relationship between archives and memory, research is still restricted and is more intertwined with history and heritage than with the science of archives.
