Trata-se das estratégias de preservação da informação arquivística e da respectiva atuação do arquivista frente ao desafio
de garantir durabilidade e permanência aos suportes que contém os registros informacionais. Aborda a preservação da informação como parte indissociável da Arquivística e da Ciência da Informação. Entende que a atuação do arquivista em relação à preservação da informação depende do conhecimento técnico/científico para o diálogo interdisciplinar e da atuação política para participar das escolhas tecnológicas envolvidas.
It deals with the strategies of archival information preservation and the archival performances with the challenge of ensuring durability and permanence to the brackets that contain the informational registers. It also deals with the information preservation as an inseparable part of Archivistic and Information Science. We understand that the archivist performance in relation to the information preservation depends on the technical/scientific knowledge to the interdisciplinary dialogues and on the political performance to participate in these technological choices.
