Examina as contribuições da Linguagem Documentária (LD) na representação da informação arquivística. Recorre à pesquisa bibliográfica, empreendendo amplo levantamento na Base de Dados de Pesquisa em Ciência da Informação (BRAPCI), abrangendo o período de 1972 a 2022. Trata-se de pesquisa descritiva no que rege à sistematização dos termos e à classificação do conhecimento, compreendendo a sua importância para o usuário como meio norteador e facilitador do acesso à informação. Para a análise dos dados, adota uma abordagem quanti-qualitativa, dando ênfase a análise bibliométrica para quantificar os dados. A partir do levantamento realizado, destaca-se que o uso da terminologia é imprescindível na aplicação da linguagem documentária no âmbito da Arquivologia com o objetivo de organizar e representar a informação, visando a recuperação da informação. Fomenta discussões em torno de pesquisas e metodologias na área de arquivologia em prol da representação da informação através da usabilidade da linguagem documentária e, consequentemente, na recuperação da informação.
The contribution of documentary language in the representation of archival information

Examines the contributions of documentary languagein representingarchival information. It resorts to bibliographic research, undertaking a broad survey in the Base de Dados de Pesquisa em Ciência da Informação (BRAPCI) covering 1972 to 2022. It is descriptive researchregarding the systematization of terms and the classification of knowledge, understanding its importance for the user to guide and facilitate access to information. For data analysis, it adopts a quanti-qualitative approach, emphasizing bibliometric analysis to quantify the data. This study shows that the use of terminology is essential in the application of documentary language in the Archival field, toorganize and represent information, aiming at information retrieval. It encourages discussions around research and methodologies in the area of archival science in the representation of information through the usability of the documentary language and, consequently, in the retrieval of information.
