Ao longo dos anos o Estado de Roraima passou diversas transformações estruturais e sociais, refletidas em suas instituições, e consequentemente em seus documentos. Tem-se como foco nesta pesquisa a Universidade Federal de Roraima (UFRR). Considera-se que esta instituição de ensino é um importante pilar na promoção da transparência informacional dentro do Estado de Roraima, visto que possui uma relação direta com a sociedade e seus bens documentais guardam memórias valiosas da história da Universidade e do Estado. Objetiva-se apresentar alguns aspectos acerca da situação do acesso à informação e do patrimônio documental da UFRR. Toma-se como base a Lei de Acesso à Informação brasileira e se parte da premissa de que um patrimônio documental é um documento de caráter permanente histórico. Esta pesquisa caracteriza-se como qualitativa, de campo e documental. Utiliza-se uma entrevista semiestruturada como instrumento para a coleta de dados. Os sujeitos entrevistados são os responsáveis pelos acervos documentais da Universidade, sendo que dois estão lotados na Divisão de Arquivo Geral (DARQ) e um no Núcleo de Documentação e Pesquisa Histórica (NUDOCHIS) da UFRR. Por meio dos resultados obtidos pode-se perceber que mesmo fazendo parte da mesma instituição, a DARQ e o NUDOCHIS possuem realidades distintas, tanto no que tange ao acesso informacional, quanto ao patrimônio documental. Todavia, as perspectivas voltadas ao acesso e aos bens documentais são positivas.
A research on the access to information and the documentary heritage of the Federal University of Roraima

Along the years the State of Roraima experienced diverse structural and social transformations, reflected in its institutions, and consistently in its documents. The focus of this research is the Federal University of Roraima (UFRR). It considers that this institution of education is an important pillar in the promotion of the informational transparency inside the State of Roraima, because it has a direct relation with the society and its documentary funds keep valuable memories of the history of the University and of the State. It’s a goal to present some aspects about the access to the information situation and the documentary heritage of UFRR. It is based in the Law of Access to the Brazilian Information and starts from the premise that a documentary heritageis a document of historical permanent character. This research is considered a qualitative, empirical and documentary one. It uses a semi-structured interview as an instrument for datacollection. The subjects interviewed are the documentary collections managers of the University, and two of those collections are full and located the Division of General Archives (DARQ) and one in the Documentation and Historical Investigation Service (NUDOCHIS) of the UFRR. Through the results obtained it can be perceived that still forming part of the same institution, the DARQ and the NUDOCHIS show distinct realities, in what concerns the informational access, regarding the documentary heritage. However, the perspectives towards the access and the documentary collections are positive.
