A Fundação Casa de Rui Barbosa tem um longo histórico de compromisso com a preservação e disseminação da obra de Rui Barbosa e outros intelectuais brasileiros. A instituição busca democratizar o acesso aos acervos por meio do uso de Tecnologias de Informação e Comunicação (TIC). Este artigo é fruto da pesquisa desenvolvida no Programa de Pós-Graduação em Memória e Acervos, da FCRB e tem por objetivo analisar as iniciativas da instituição no contexto das humanidades digitais. Ele se divide em três partes, apresentando as iniciativas da FCRB no ambiente digital, os projetos de digitalização, e os sites “Escravidão, abolição e pós-abolição” e “Machado de Assis.Net”, além do Portal da Crônica Brasileira e da pesquisa baseada na técnica de crowdsourcing. Por fim, apresenta uma análise dos produtos e serviços de divulgação de acervos que se enquadram como projetos de humanidades digitais.
Digital collections of the Casa de Rui Barbosa Foundation in the light of digital humanities

The Fundação Casa de Rui Barbosa has a long history of commitment to the preservation and dissemination of the work of Rui Barbosa and other Brazilian intellectuals. The institution seeks to democratize access to collections through the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). This article is the result of research developed in the Postgraduate Program in Memory and Collections, at FCRB and aims to analyze the institution's initiatives in the context of digital humanities. It is divided into three parts, presenting the FCRB's initiatives in the digital environment, the digitalization projects, and the websites “Slavery, abolition and post-abolition” and “Machado de Assis.Net”, in addition to the Portal da Crônica Brasileira and the research based on the crowdsourcing technique. It ends with an analysis of collection dissemination products and services that qualify as digital humanities projects.
