Gerenciar de forma estratégica as informações produzidas pelas instituições exige a utilização de técnicas e ferramentas que favoreçam a agilidade no instante da recuperação informacional. Deste modo, a tecnologia vem sendo amplamente difundida como solução para as questões de acesso. Managing the information produced by institutions in a strategic way requires the use of techniques and tools that promote agility in the instant of informational retrieval. Thereby, technology has been widely spread as the solution to access issues. However, working with electronic files management requires knowledge on archival precepts and on the legal dispositions that regulate its use.Thus, this article is aimed at discussing the concepts and legislation regarding the issue.
