A entrevista que se segue apresenta aos pesquisadores e estudantes interessados na história de Angola, do século XVIII ao século XX, os materiais que poderão encontrar ao visitar o Arquivo Nacional de Angola, em Luanda. Como diretora do Arquivo, Alexandra Aparício, além de apresentar a documentação, discorre sobre como se constituiu o acervo atualmente disponível e o concebe em movimento, refletindo sobre quais serão as próximas incorporações, como se dará a gestão da documentação do pós-independência e o que ainda deve ser feito para que os documentos existentes estejam devidamente preservados e disponíveis. a entrevista ajuda-nos a compreender um pouco da história desse rico acervo, cujos documentos estão imbricados com a própria história de Angola.

This interview presents to the researchers and students interested in the history of Angola from the 18th to the 20th century the materials they might find when visiting the National Archives of Angola in Luanda. Alexandra Aparício, director of the Archives, addresses not only the documentation, but also how the currently available collection was constituted. She views the archives dynamically and reflects on what the next incorporations will be; how the post-independence documentation will be managed; and what must be done for the existing documents to be duly preserved and available. The interview helps us understand some of the history of this rich collection, whose documents are entangled with the very history of Angola.
