O estudo tem como objetivo propor uma reflexão no que se refere à constituição da memória coletiva e o papel da televisão neste processo. O argumento reside na ancoragem das narrativas midiáticas em memórias de caráter coletivo. Acredita-se que, ao recuperar esses elementos do passado, a televisão aciona a memória do telespectador e, através do laço social televiso (WOLTON, 1990), as comunidades de telespectadores passam a criar e/ou atualizar as lembranças desse grupo que, posteriormente, serão compreendidas como a memória coletiva. Assim, partimos da concepção de Memória Coletiva defendida por Halbwachs (1990). Como enquadramento metodológico, o presente estudo parte de uma perspectiva teórica e discute os pressupostos teóricos à luz da série The Crown (Netflix-presente). O estudo aponta que ficções seriadas baseadas em fatos reais podem alimentar e reatualizar memórias coletivas, como também propiciar o desencadeamento de memórias colaborativas ao recuperar lembranças e constituir novos laços sociais através da televisão.
God Save the Queen!: Television Social Bond and Collective Memory in the TV Series The Crown

The study aims to reflect on the constitution of collective memory and the role of television in this process. The argument resides in the face of the mediatic narratives, which explore memories of a collective nature. Recovering specific remembrance from the past, the authors believe that television triggers the viewer's memory. Through the television social bond (WOLTON, 1990), viewer communities start to create and update the memories of this group.This movement composes of collective memory. Thus, we highlight our discussion from the concept of Collective Memory defended by Halbwachs (1990). As a methodological framework, this study rises from a theoretical perspective and discusses the theoretical assumptions in the light of The Crown series (Netflix-present). The study indicates that productions like these can update or feed collective memories and trigger the triggering of a collaborative memory by recovering memories and constituting new social bonds through television.
