O presente artigo apresenta a contribuição do movimento associativo para a comunidade, abordando o surgimento das associações profissionais no Brasil, o papel do coletivo na garantia de mais visibilidade da profissão, do profissional e do fazer arquivístico e as recentes discussões sobre a criação do Conselho Federal e dos Conselhos Regionais de Arquivologia. A pesquisa, de caráter exploratória, adota como instrumento de coleta a entrevista com membros das diretorias de associações profissionais. Os resultados apontam para a necessidade de reflexões sobre a responsabilidade social do arquivista e de maior participação como associado. Como contribuições, foram apresentadas propostas para integrar a comunidade arquivística no movimento associativo
This article presents the contribution of the associative movement to the community, addressing the emergence of professional associations in Brazil. This article then addresses the role of congregation in ensuring greater visibility of the occupation, the archivology professional and the recent discussions on the creation of the Federal Council and the Regional Archival Councils. This research, of an exploratory nature, undertook interviews with members of the boards of professional associations, as the instrument of data collection. The results suggest the need for greater reflection on the social responsibility of each professional in the archivology field, through greater participation as an associate. In terms of contributions, proposals are presented for a greater integration of the archivological community in the associative movement.
