A Lei nº 13.709, de 14 de agosto de 2018, intitulada Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados Pessoais (LGPD) é um normativo recente no Brasil e representa uma resposta às crescentes preocupações com a privacidade e segurança de dados pessoais impactando diretamente a forma como a sociedade e as organizações lidam com as informações de caráter pessoal. Partindo do pressuposto de que parte dessas informações estão registradas em documentos de arquivo é fundamental compreender quais são as possíveis relações entre a LGPD e a Arquivologia. No âmbito desta pesquisa esta análise será realizada por meio da produção científica da Base de Dados Referenciais de Artigos de Periódicos em Ciência da Informação (BRAPCI). Para isso, realiza uma revisão bibliográfica e normativa sobre a LGPD; mapeia os artigos que tratam sobre a temática na base de dados, e identifica as relações entre a Lei e a Arquivologia. Como resultados verifica-se a baixa quantidade de artigos publicados até 2023, e que ainda a discussão é muito incipiente. Sendo assim, considera-se que as relações entre a LGPD e a Arquivologia ainda estão sendo construídas. Isto é esperado, uma vez que temos cinco ano desde a sua promulgação, e considerando que a questão da privacidade e segurança de dados pessoais é bastante sensível.
The relationship between the general personal data protection law and Archival Science: an analysis of scientific production in BRAPCI

Law No. 13,709, of August 14, 2018, entitled General Personal Data Protection Law (LGPD) is a recent regulation in Brazil and represents a response to growing concerns about the privacy and security of personal data, directly impacting the way in which Society and organizations deal with personal information. Assuming that part of this information is recorded in archival documents, it is essential to understand the possible relationships between the LGPD and Archival Science. Within the scope of this research, this analysis will be carried out through the scientific production of the Reference Database of Periodical Articles in Information Science (BRAPCI). To this end, it carries out a bibliographic and normative review on the LGPD; maps the articles that deal with the topic in the database, and identifies the relationships between Law and Archival Science. As a result, there is a low number of articles published until 2023, and the discussion is still very incipient. Therefore, it is considered that the relationships between the LGPD and Archival Science are still being built. This is expected, given that we have five years since its promulgation, and considering that the issue of privacy and security of personal data is quite sensitive
