Os arquivos, museus e bibliotecas, nomeados instituições de memória, a partir do final do século XX, iniciaram um processo de transformação devido à introdução das Tecnologias de Informação e Comunicação. Com isso, observou-se o surgimento de novos métodos, ferramentas e formas de interação com os usuários, conhecido por humanidades digitais (HD). Este artigo é resultado de pesquisa desenvolvida pela Fundação Casa de Rui Barbosa, constituindo-se em uma pesquisa exploratória e apresenta levantamento bibliográfico sobre as HD. Traz um breve histórico das humanidades digitais, a contextualização do campo no território nacional e por fim algumas reflexões sobre a utilização das HD em acervos memoriais.
The archives, museums and libraries, named memory institutions, from the end of the twentieth century began a process of transformation due to the introduction of Information and Communication Technologies. With this, it was observed the emergence of new methods, tools and forms of interaction with users, known as digital humanities (DH). This article is the result of research developed by Fundação Casa de Rui Barbosa, constituting an exploratory research and presents a bibliographic survey on DH. It brings a brief history of the digital humanities, the contextualization of the field in the national territory and, finally, some reflections on the use of DH in memorial collections.
