O artigo apresenta um histórico sobre a atuação da seção brasileira do Conselho Interamericano de Comércio e Produção (Cicyp), demonstrando a importância do acervo documental produzido por essa organização, o qual se encontra depositado no Arquivo Nacional, para o estudo da ação política do empresariado brasileiro entre as décadas de 1940 e 1970.
The Brazilian section of the Inter-American Council of Commerce and Production and the political action of the business community (1940-1970)

The article presents a history of the Brazilian section of the Inter-American Council of Commerce and Production (CICYP). It also demonstrates the importance of the documentation produced by this organization, stored at the Arquivo Nacional [Brazilian National Archives], for the study of the political action of Brazilian businessmen between the 1940s and the 1970s.
