A Lei de Acesso à Informação garante o acesso aos documentos de instituições públicas, ao mesmo tempo em que a pesquisa científica e tecnológica impõe graus de restrição ao acesso. Este trabalho aborda os limites de acesso e suas justificativas, bem como traça um paralelo com pesquisa realizada em laboratórios antes da promulgação da LAI. Apresenta os resultados de pesquisa recente, que aponta para a existência de demanda por dados da pesquisa e da necessidade de as instituições melhor se organizarem internamente para o atendimento à Lei.
The Access to Information Act and the lab archives: demands and limits
Abstract/Résumé/Resumen
The access to Information Act guarantees access to documents of public institutions, while the scientific and technological research imposes restriction grades to access. This work covers the access limits and their justification, and draws a parallel with research conducted in the laboratory before the promulgation of the LAI. Presents the results of recent research that points to the existence of demand for research data and the need for institutions to better organize themselves internally to meet the law.
