Este artigo analisa as contribuições do conjunto de documentos do acervo privado de Francisco Amaral como patrimônio documental que possibilita desvelar as políticas públicas e a ação de um intelectual no território da Baixada Fluminense e no estado do Rio de Janeiro. Buscou-se a reconstrução histórica para relacionar o papel do parlamentar e suas interlocuções com os movimentos sociais, as lutas contra a ditadura e pela democratização da sociedade.
Francisco Amaral’s private collection: documentary heritage, parliamentary action and social struggles in education
Abstract/Résumé/Resumen
This article analyzes the contributions of the set of documents from the private collection of Francisco Amaral as a documentary heritage that makes it possible to unveil public policies and the action of an intellectual in the territory of Baixada Fluminense and in the state of Rio de Janeiro. Historical reconstruction was sought to relate the role of the parliamentarian and his dialogues with social movements, the struggles against the dictatorship and for the democratization of society.
