User studies are evaluations to improve the quality of services and the overall structure of information centers. Considered in this theme, this research identifies the profile and satisfaction of users of the Documentation and Information Center - NDPI, Federal University of Paraíba - UFPB. In order to obtain the data, a questionnaire composed of eight questions was applied among the users who attended the archive in October 2016, it is therefore a quantitative research, although with the contribution of some statements of the managers of said nucleus. The theoretical framework deals with user studies and concepts about the file, document and its users. After analyzing the data, a user profile was obtained, and a diagnosis of the degree of satisfaction found in relation to the service, services, conservation status of the documents; Area, and from the analysis of the data collected, points are identified that require improvement. This study should be seen as an opportunity to get to know the user better and, through him, to evaluate the performance of the services offered to him.
