The purpose of this research is to assure the procedures of Semiotics applied to Representation of the Information of the Archive Document through the Variadex Method. The methodology used for this research are bibliographic survey on the subject, the reading of selected materials and practical study in the Current Archives of the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Paraíba (IFPB). The result obtained from this investigation is in the relation between the Varidex Method and Semiotics through the Representation of archivistic Information. This relation was noticed in the sector of Current Archives of IFPB and from the collection of these informations, it is recognized the use of colors in the Documental Management. Thus, is possible to make an association between Archival Science and Semiotics, which is a science that is based on the study of sign linguistic and nonverbal and have their own methodological rules and instruments to make the analysis and representation of any objects. In this case, there are archivistic tangible technical-scientific contributions to the Representation of archivistic Information. Based on these studies, one may conclude that the activity of Representation of archival Information in the environment of storage of documents is congnitive, aiming at the archival procedures of documental management, associeated to the understanding of Semiotics, which proves effective in the use of Variadex Method.
