Abstract/Résumé/Resumen
The article approaches three photographic practices that contribute to the understanding of visual history in the South of Brazil: the collections of the Beck family, Eduardo Jaunsem, and Virgílio Calegari. The practices are elements of a visual culture, unfolded in meaningful moments of photographic production. They are made up of true archeologies of these photographers, revealing their techniques, arts, and crafts.
